Both will play each other on Saturday at Warwick High School’s Grosh Field.
The Spartans’ Danny Fleischood paved the way for the offense as he had 132 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
The Pioneer’s QB Caleb Howse passed for 2 TDS in the 31-13 victory against Twin Valley.
Both teams faced each other in week 10 in the Lancaster-Lebanon Section 4 title game where the Pioneers came out on top 20-7. The win snapped a 36-home game winning streak.
A pair of Wyomissing seniors talked about what a win would mean after the program reclassified from 3A to 4A this season.
“It would be a big statement,” said running back Derek Macrina.” It would be a big win for us. Obviously, championship games are a lot of fun but just being a great team like they are, it would mean a lot to us.”
Caleb Beane, a two-way lineman, agrees.
“It would mean the absolute world to our team, we’ve worked really hard,” Beane said. “Honestly, this is the most important week of preparation, and if we don’t work hard enough this week, we won’t get the right to earn that victory. That’s what we have to do, we have to come out hard this week.”
