The Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers have won the District 3, Class 4A football title by defeating Wyomissing 30-27 in overtime.
Peter Fiorello scored the winning points with a field goal in overtime for the Pioneers.
The loss by the Spartans ends a 5 year District 3 championship streak which were all in Cass 3A. Wyomissing’s season ends with a 10-3 record in their first season at Class 4A. With the victory, the Pioneers will face the winner of tomorrow afternoon’s game between Clearfield and Thomas Jefferson, both undefeated at 12-0.
