Wyomissing has defeated Lancaster Catholic 26-24 to win their third straight District 3 girls basketball title in a row.

An Amaya Stewart bucket with just under 25 seconds to play Friday staged Wyomissing’s 26-24 victory over Lancaster Catholic in the District 3 4A championship at Giant Center.
In a battle plagued by turnovers and missed shots, the Spartans owned a 10-3 halftime advantage.
Catholic’s Nevaeh Kennedy scored 14 points.
Wyomissing scoring included Amaya Stewart 8 points, Alexis Hardy 6 points, Audrey Harlan 6 points, L. Marshal 4 points.
Lancaster Catholic had an 18-2 record over their last 20 games.
They won their section title in the L-L League and lost to Lebanon in the semifinal playoffs. Lebanon went on to win the L-L League title.
