Hempfield took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Dallastown Wildcats by a score of 17-7. This was payback for the Black Knights, who suffered a 28-9 loss the last time these two teams met.
Dallastown held Hempfield to 81 rushing yards in the first half.
But Hempfield’s QB Katch who had over 2,000 yards passing last season, went 16-for-23 for 93 yards hitting Abrams 11 times.
Ethan Caldwell scored two TDs for Hempfield while rushing for 100 yards. Brady Biscoe nailed a 27-yard field goal for all the scoring Hempfield needed for the win.
