The crowd at Friday’s non-league contest between the Ephrata Mountaineers (Ephrata, PA) and the visiting Garden Spot Spartans (New Holland, PA), saw Ephrata’s football team prevail over Garden Spot by a final score of 40-31.
With the win, Ephrata advances its record to 3-0 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Conestoga Valley (Lancaster, PA) to encounter the Buckskins in a Lancaster-Lebanon 2 bout on Friday, September 12. The Buckskins go into the bout with a record of 3-0. Conestoga Valley won 53-0 in their recent non-league bout against Dover (Dover, PA)
The Spartans now own a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cocalico for a Lancaster-Lebanon 3 match on Friday, September 12. Garden Spot will play an Eagles team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Lampeter-Strasburg (Lampeter, PA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.
