William Penn lost against Manheim Township back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bearcats took a 43-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Streaks. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can’t take it too hard given the team’s big disadvantage in MaxPreps’ Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Blue Streaks are ranked 24th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manheim Township to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jack Kenneff, who threw for 233 yards and three TDs while completing 74.2% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave Kenneff a new career-high. PJ Myers helped Kenneff out on the ground, rushing for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries.
William Penn now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Manheim Township, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. William Penn will welcome Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Bearcats’ first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
As for Manheim Township, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 7:00 p.m.
