Township wins Kurjiaka Trophy again.

For the third year in a row, Manheim Township has won The Joseph F. Kurjiaka Trophy.

They did so by defeating Hempfield 35-13 in their Section One football matchup.

Joseph F. Kurjiaka was a member of Hempfield High School board. A trophy in his honor was created 2014. It is awarded each year to the winner of the Hempfield/Manheim Township football game.

Hempfield hoped to keep the momentum alive Friday night after bouncing back last week from two straight losses.

The Black Knights (2-2) hosted the Blue Streaks of Manheim Township (3-1).

It was all Blue Streaks as Manheim Township won 35-13.
