Solanco beats the Barons

Solanco won the last time they faced Manheim Central and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Mules claimed a resounding 42-6 victory over the Barons. The Golden Mules might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Solanco’s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kris Burgos-Wise, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Burgos-Wise really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Johnny Garcia was another key rusher, rushing for 71 yards and two scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can’t run the rock, something Solanco proved: they limited Manheim Central to a paltry 1.1 yards per carry. The team can thank Kali Hines for the heroic effort on defense: he. Solanco didn’t have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.3.

The win (which was Solanco’s sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average over those games. As for Manheim Central, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

We’ve got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Week 8 features: Solanco will take on rival Cocalico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant s against one another: Garcia and Dane Horning. Meanwhile, Manheim Central is set to square off against their familiar foe Fleetwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
