Harrisburg beats Township in District 3 play

Harrisburg High School’s football team, a perennial powerhouse, had a perfect 12-0 record as of mid-November 2025, with its most recent win being a 34-7 playoff victory against Manheim Township.

The team, known for its potent rushing attack and defense, is a top contender in Pennsylvania, currently ranked #2 in the state by some metrics, and will compete for the District 3 6A championship.

They will play undefeated Central York (11-0) this Saturday for the District 3, Class 6A title.

Key players and team strengths:

Rushing: The team has a strong ground game, led by players like Messiah Mickens and Jaylen Lewis.

Defense: The defense has been a major strength, recording multiple sacks and shutting down opposing offenses.

Manheim Township didn’t go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daryus Dixon and Zachary Bomberger.

Manheim Township’s loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Harrisburg, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
