

The JP McCaskey girls track and field team finished in second place at the 2026 PTFCA Indoor State Championships held on March 1, 2026. The Red Tornado finished with 32 team points, trailing champion Penn Charter, which scored 40 points.
Championship Performance Highlights
McCaskey’s runner-up finish was driven by several standout individual and relay performances:
State Champion: Sophomore Ella Petrosky won the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.54 seconds, a personal best.
Relay Champions: The 800-meter relay team (Ella Petrosky, Corrine Miller, Alondra Grover, and Damani Crosson) took first place with a time of 1:41.01, the fastest time in Pennsylvania this winter.
Top Individual Finishers:
Corrine Miller: 4th place in the 200m (24.87).
Carolynn Main: 6th place in the mile (4:57.45).
Ruby Garner-Valle: 6th place in the 3,000m (9:54.49).
Distance Medley Relay: The 4,000m DMR team (Main, Garner-Valle, Vivian Salerno, and Shiloh Tebie) placed 8th with a time of 12:18.23.

Prior to the state meet, McCaskey dominated the Lancaster-Lebanon League Indoor Track and Field Challenge in February 2026, winning the league title with 144 points and claiming 9 out of 10 track events.
