Central Dauphin entered Saturday’s 6A title game with vaunted Imhotep with a healthy dose of respect.

Intimidation, however, wasn’t on the menu.

Putting the Panthers’ 10-0 record in state title games to the side, the Rams felt they matched up as well as anyone with the District 12 champ.

Central Dauphin proved that hunch correct on Saturday night at the Giant Center in Hershey, as a late score by Jelani Easter sealed the deal for a 52-49 victory over the Panthers, giving the Rams their first state title in program history.

Junior guard Shakur Starling put the Rams on his shoulders earlier in the game scoring 24 points to shove Central Dauphin past the mighty Panthers 52-49 in the 6A championship at GIANT Center.
