Township beats L-S for L-L Baseball Title

The Manheim Township Blue Streaks defeated Lampeter- Strasbourg 2-0 in 9 innings to win the Lancaster Lebanon League baseball championship for 2025-26.

Grant Wilson placed a bunt along the third base line scoring Logan Garmen for the go-ahead run in the top of the 9th inning.

Township scored 2 runs in the top of the ninth and held on of win 2-0.

This is the 3rd L-L Baseball Title in 5 years for the blue Streaks.

Tyler Shirk looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn’t given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Manheim Township saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Carrasco, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That’s the most hits Carrasco has posted since back in April.

Manheim Township is on a roll lately: they’ve won 11 of their last 14 contests. That’s provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4-1.
