There have been 17 PIAA District III, Class 3A girls lacrosse championship matches since the first one in 2009 and Manheim Township has won 13 of them.

Despite a valiant effort from Lancaster-Lebanon League rival Hempfield, the 2026 contest at Millersville University would be no different.

The Blue Streaks took an early lead until Hempfield closed within one midway through the second quarter, but Manheim Township responded with three straight markers before halftime and went on to post a 12-8 victory.

Now 14-1 in championship games, Manheim Township now has an astounding 55-3 record in District III tournament play.

Hempfield, which has qualified for district play every season, is now 0-2 in title tilts.
