Pioneers win, heading to softball finals

The Lampeter-Straburg Pioneers will be heading to their third straight PIAA 5A softball championship game and fourth overall since 2016 by defeating West Scranton 3-0 this afternoon.

Keiva Middelton threw a four-hit shutout while striking out 5 for the win.

Middelton also drove in a run with a double. Karrisa Hurt also drive in a run for the Pioneers.

They will play at Penn State on Friday against North Hills who defeated Armstrong 12-2 in the other semifinals game today.

The game will be broadcast on PCN TV.

There are three seniors on this team that will have played in 3 state title games.

There overall record is now 26 wins with one defeat and a 15-0 record in the L-L League.

They have won Section 2 in the L-L League. The L-L League title, the District 3, 5A title and now head to the Penn State to try to win their second state title.
