Cocalico beats Lebanon Cedars

In a non-league game last week, the Lebanon Cedars Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 13-3 loss to Cocalico.

Cocalico scored on an error and a wild pitch by L Angstadt in the first inning.
The Lebanon Cedars Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Cocalico, giving up 13 runs.

Cocalico got on the board in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Cocalico.

Lebanon Cedars Varsity notched three runs in the sixth inning. Lebanon Cedars Varsity offense in the inning was led by Braden Collazo, Ander Duran Dedios, and Angel Guzman Castillo, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Cocalico scored six runs in the sixth inning. Cocalico’s big inning was driven by a single by T Angstadt, an error on a ball put in play by Hostetter, and a double by Angstadt.
Welker was the winning pitcher for Cocalico. The bulldog lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out five and walking one. Dickson threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Jordy Polanco took the loss for Lebanon Cedars Varsity. The bulldog went one inning, allowing seven runs on four hits and walking one.
Lebanon Cedars Varsity collected seven hits on the day. Guzman Castillo and Randy Polanco each racked up multiple hits for Lebanon Cedars Varsity. Polanco and Guzman Castillo each collected two hits to lead Lebanon Cedars Varsity.

Cocalico racked up nine hits in the game. Sturtevant and Flinton each managed multiple hits for Cocalico.
