Township Girls Lacrosse Season Ends

PIAA Class 3A Girls State Lacrosse Quarterfinals: The top-seeded Manheim Township girls lacrosse team lost to the Springfield-Delco Cougars 8-7 and the Blue Streaks amazing season coms to an end.

The Cougars defense in the second half held Township to just two goals.

The Blue Streaks down 8-7 with seconds remaining thought they had tied the game on a a goal by but the referee called it off as they were offsides as the clock ticked down to zero.

This was the fourth year in a row that the Blue Streaks played in the State PIAA tournament.

Manheim Township had a typical Township year winning the Lancaster-Lebanon League title and now the district title.

And for the fourth year in a row the Blue Streaks will play in the State PIAA tournament on June 6th.

They finish the season with a 21-3 record and a 10-0 in Lancaster Lebanon League play.
