The 2018 Lampeter-Strasburg softball team will be adding one more title to their illustrious season.

After winning the PIAA 2018 State Title and finishing the season with a 23-5 record, the Pioneers’ team will be enshrined in the L-S High School Sports Hall of Fame this coming weekend.

The Pioneers beat WPIAL champion West Allegheny, 6-2, in the PIAA Class 5A title game. It was the program’s first PIAA softball title.

Sluggers Hanna Garber (.563 BA, 49 hits, 38 RBIs), Summer Peters (.500 BA, 46 hits, 38 RBIs) and Julz Garber (.462 BA, 42 runs scored, 42 hits) led the way offensively while Brynne Baker (18-5, 2.28 ERA, 106 Ks; .455 BA, 39 RBIs) excelled in the circle and at the plate.

For 2018 the Pioneers won their Section title in the Lancaster Lebanon League, they were runner-up in the District 3, Class 5 title game and State Champions.
