Warwick loses 1-0 in Quarterfinals Today

The Warwick Warriors softball team came up one run short in their pursuit of a PIAA State title in Class 3A.

They lost 1-0 to Council Rock South at Boyertown Area High School in the State PIAA quarterfinals.

Their starting pitcher Kate Shaak gave up only 2 hits, walked 3 and gave up the one run in the game.

Both teams were coming off their first wins in state PIAA tournament play and the Warriors had two chances to win this game.

They had a runner on third who got picked off and in their last at bat, they loaded the bases but could not score a tying run.

When all is said and done Warwick had an amazing season.

They finish the season with a 23-6 record.

Below are the brackets for the Class 3A PIAA Softball State Title playoffs.

The won the Lancaster-Lebanon League Title this year and were tied with Hempfield in Section One.

They finished third in the District 3, Class 6A playoffs.
