The dream of their first state lacrosse title were dashed for the Blue Streaks after a semifinal 9-4 loss to Bishop Shanahan.
The Blue Streaks led 2-1 after one quarter on Tuesday.
A big key to Bishop Shanahan’s 9-4 win Tuesday in the PIAA 3A girls’ lacrosse state semifinal at Cocalico High School was a rock-solid defense that shut out District 3 champion Manheim Township for the entire second and third quarters.
This is the second year in a row that MTHS was eliminated in the PIAA State Lacrosse tournament.

It was quite a season for Township.
They won their 15th straight Lancaster-Lebanon League title and fourth straight District Three championship and 13th District 3 Lacrosse title overall.
After losing 5-4 in OT to Conestoga in last year’s state semifinals, the Blue Streaks had high hopes to accomplish more.
They end the season with a 19-6 record.
Township had won the Section One title in the L-L League this past season.
And they defeated Penn Manor in the L-L League championship match on May 14th,
