Softball: The L-S Pioneers lost a late lead and ended up losing 6-3 to Solanco on Monday.

The game was tied at three with Solanco batting in the top of the sixth when A Fedoruk singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Pioneers got things moving in the second inning. Pioneers scored two runs when Julia Gierard singled.

A Sexton pitched Solanco to victory. The hurler went seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out four.

Maura Savoca took the loss for Pioneers. Savoca went five and a third innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out five and walking one.

Pioneers tallied seven hits on the day. Savoca and Gierard each collected multiple hits for Pioneers. Gierard and Savoca each managed two hits to lead Pioneers.
Fedoruk went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Solanco in hits. Solanco was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. S DeFrancesco made the most plays with five.
